The Beginning

Founded in 2001

Newsletter/Magazine Beginnings
In the year 2001 during a long bus ride from Pennsylvania to the Red Power Round-Up show in Mt. Pleasant Iowa the idea was born.  Three Sell brothers from western Pennsylvania decided that there needed to be a publication dedicated exclusively to the entire line of Cub Cadet Power Equipment from the past to present.  Therefore, in the fall of 2001, the Cadet Connection newsletter was launched and the debut issue was published.   Mark, Brian & Howard Sell all come from a rich Cub Cadet history wherein they operated their father, Howard Sell, Jr's, 1964 model 100 and 1973 model 128, their uncle's 1962 Original, and their grandfather's 1967 model 123 as kids.  Us three brothers and our dad now own over 30 Cub Cadet tractors of various IH models along with a slew of genuine IH implements, attachments and accessories for their Cub Cadet tractors.
Now into our 9th year of publishing the quarterly newsletter, now called a magazine, it has become very popular among the Cub Cadet enthusiasts.  The magazine has glossy color covers and some great content such as Cub Cadet history, maintenance articles, implements and attachments, classified ads, restoration stories, feature articles, pulling tractors, show schedules, etc.  This great publication now has readers in 49 states, Canada, and 6 countries overseas.  We cover the complete line of Cub Cadet Power Equipment from 1961 to present.
If you share the same love for these rugged little tractors, then this magazine is an absolute must have!!  It is really a quality piece of work and sure to be a collectors item and definitely something every Cub Cadet enthusiast should not be without.
